This gives the FDL an unparalleled ability to evade incoming damage while still dishing out a considerable amount, and when paired with decent FAoff abilities more than adequate pitch/roll rates to stay on target all while maintaining a strong top speed of around 550-570 depending on the build. It has a boost multiplier of 6.9, all other medium ships (except the Mamba) have a multiplier under 4.1, and is tied for the strongest medium ship lateral thruster acceleration. The greatest, and most often overlooked by newer pilots, advantage of the FDL is it has the strongest boost in the game outside of the far smaller Viper 4 and the Mamba (which has other maneuvering disadvantages we'll get to later).
In maneuverability and defense, the FDL is uncontested, while only losing out to the size 7 distributor ships in damage.
